Part of a new tea party branding website for Florida’s beleaguered freshman governor, Rick Scott.
Who is this new breed of politician who’s so tea party, so for the common man, who doesn’t want you to be tread upon?
Just a regular joe who:
- Is worth at least $218 million (and probably much more in hidden assets).
- Spent $73 million of his own money to win the governor’s election (the most ever by an individual).
- Was CEO of the health care corporation Columbia/HCA when it was slammed by the feds for the largest Medicare and Medicaid frauds ever. The firm ultimately paid $1.7 billion in fines. Scott left the company with $300 million in stock options and a $1 million-a-year consulting salary.
- Pled the Fifth 75 times in a single deposition over Columbia/HCA’s dirty dealings.
On the tea party website to support this mensch, there’s a survey that asks, “What issues concern you most?” Your only choices are: Ending the Deficit; Government Spending; High Unemployment Rate; Tax Increases.
Yes, thank God the tea partiers have a straight shooter like Rick Scott to protect them from government interference in their lives.
